Strawberry Fields....!

As the Weatherman promised, we saw the first rain of our trip and had to 'don the fleeces'....well at least during the morning! We paid a call to the Visitor Centre (the only visitors to do so!) and received a few half-decent ideas of what to do in Billings. Interestingly enough, our habit of arriving in places celebrating annual events continued.....with several blocks having been closed-off for the Billings Strawberry Festival! We had to go there and apparently so did everyone else in the town. Surprisingly whilst the red, prickly, fruit provided the theme, it was outnumbered by general arts and crafts, and international cuisine. (With a dollar in your pocket, you wouldn't go hungry here!) Pat made use of the free back massages the were on offer and then after having a chocolate covered strawberry and some fine 'drip-coffee' we set off for fresh pastures. Following the Scenic Drive signs, we made our way along the Rim Rock Road, which has some fabulous views overlooking the entire town. We stocked-up on consumables at a nearby Walmart and then went to the Cinema (to catch 'Prometheus') whilst a couple of thunderstorms passed-by. And then it was back to the Texas Roadhouse for dinner ....great atmosphere and steaks to match! (And where else can you grab a bucket-full of peanuts as a free appetizer!?) Only one piece of music will do for today.....
