Cheers!

Grey skies cleared as we rode to Boston on the 'T' train, with its double-deck carriages and old-style conductors, who check tickets and clip them, by hand. We pulled into South Station and made our way from the financial district to the downtown shopping area, which despite a new skyscraper, seems tired. Nevertheless, Boston as a whole continues to be in the midst of endless reconstruction .... as one 'Big Dig' completes, another commences. Apparently, the strategic aim being to place the city as the number one convention spot in the US. We were soon at the start of the Freedom Trail
and then in the vibrant Quincy Market.
And as the temperature rose, we decided to take an 'award-winning' trolley bus tour. The tour took around two hours, during which we were taken around all the major points of interest ..... ranging from Cheers Bar to MIT and the burial site of Paul Revere ....... finishing, where we began, at the waterfront!
Tour completed, we slowly made our way back to South Station and caught the train back to Dedham, where we caught an early evening film show and dinner. And today's musical aide moire? 'Boston Tea Party' by the Alex Harvey Band!
