Going North to Alaska!

Today we ticked-off part-one of our trip, squaring the circle back to Chicago and a neat hotel close to O'Hare Airport.....gaining an hour as we moved on to US Central Time. And how many miles have we covered so far? Well actually....exactly 3,000! This morning was wet in Ohio, but as we crossed into Indiana the skies cleared....but clouded over again in Chicago! Traffic was scarce most of the way, but the tolls are a real trial!

Driving over the Chicago Skyway and into Chicago was, as always, a nightmare.....six lanes, bumper to bumper..... Wacky Races! (Note to Pete....You wouldn't like it...and I wasn't too keen on ManU's result today!)

Tomorrow we have an early start as we have to drop-off the car and catch an 8:45am flight to Seattle and a connecting flight to Fairbanks (where we should gain another hour as we move on to West Coast time....putting us seven hours behind the UK). We've managed to get our 'Skyping Act' together and can now see and talk to our beloved off-spring for free!! Today's music link simply nominated itself.....(and for 'Sam' read 'Bill'!)...
