Not sleepless, but......

Yes, we're definitely in Seattle and settled into our (nice)quirky downtown '5' Hotel. Saturday morning boded well with blue sky, sun, and hosts of visitors arriving to meet the Alaska Railway tour train, to overrun those fabulous places that we'd enjoyed previously without the hoards! I discovered that ManU had won the Premiership and now (along with Ken and the guys) I'm rooting for the team to 'show-up' at Wembly! Our flight with Alaskan Airways was smooth and on time....and then 'all hell broke loose' at Budget Rental Cars!! To cut a long story short, it took two hours of a very protracted negotiation (and phone calls to Budget's Head Office via London) to convince the rental desk that I had prepaid for thirty-five, not twenty-seven, days!
Anyway, problem sorted, I pushed my luck and got a free upgrade.....a Chevy 'Impala'...nice! With new wheels, we drove in the crazy traffic and the even crazier one-way system to our hotel.
Rain arrived, as we went to dinner, but it felt good to be here.....the next phase of our trip begins and who knows, we may go to Vegas again! And since we're in Indie Rock territory, I guess the following track is appropriate.....

  1. Bill,

Glad to see you are on the next phase of your journey after what seems like a magical time in Alaska.

Seeing that you are on a road trip, thought this picture would bring a smile to your face.

  2. Hi Bill. Great to see you continuing to enjoy your dream. Question your dress though? What's with the Blue fleece when you should be the ambassador for a more classy team so wear the Red one. I trust that when you met 'Ernie' in downtown Anchorage you didn't Blue it! I am sure Red Ken would remind you that Blue supports a rival team that have won FA except for achieving one FA. Wear something Red and I will guarantee that your other dream will be realised - there will be a 'Porsche' waiting your return. Love to Pat. Well done with your adventures.
