Skyping Jenny 'early doors' resulted in a missed breakfast.....but it was well worth it! Booting-up the laptop I discovered that ManU were leading Chelsea 2-0, at Old Trafford, which lifted my spirits no-end! (Hope you were there with my 'son and heir' Ken!) Being no shortage of diners here, we set-off downtown and after coffee & toast checked-out the Mall. (There are some pretty nice dogs here!) Pat bought some shoes while I chatted to the sales assistant, Robin, a football fanatic who had had watched the game 'live' on TV. He was disappointed....being an Arsenal fan! Nevertheless, he spontaneously called 'Ernie' (the store owner) so that I could speak with him..... Ernie being an ardent ManU fan!! (And this is in downtown Anchorage!) We strolled about the sleepy city centre a while longer before heading back to base via the Marine Trail and 'Ulu Knife Factory' where we then set about the laundry....we constantly re-cycle the top layers of our suitcase contents and therefore could have managed with only half of the clothes that we packed....strange that the longer you stay, the less you need.....and in the States you're never made to feel under-dressed! (We've tackled the spectrum from 'Swanky New York Steak House' to 'Wilderness Bar' in 'fleece and denim' and pulled-it-off!) Tonight we're booked into the Glacier Brewery for dinner and it had better be good, as it was tricky to get a reservation......now what to wear?! As for a piece of music....well I heard this playing in the Mall earlier and it doesn't require any further justification in my book!
