The Big Apple......
Back to blue skies as we retrieved the car from storage and set off north for New York. Actually, we were bound for Jersey City as this was a more sensible place to stay with a car than Manhattan. The traffic wasn't too heavy and we arrived at the Ramada around midday......the hotel has everything we need for a six-night base-camp....nearby parking and access to the light railway system! There are no decent eating places, so it looks like takeaway tonight and eating in Manhattan for the remainder of our stay.....although we have already been very kindly invited out for dinner! I can't sign off without saying a quick hello to my Red Army pals and I hope they enjoyed ManU's 2-0 win earlier today! Would have posted Bob Dylan's "Hurricane" here as a perfect musical link to New Jersey, but apparently copyright prevents me!! (But, I guess in Patterson that's just the way it goes!!!!)
