Washing Day........

Our last act in New York was to do the washing! Then, we liberated the car and struck-out for Boston. The drive was fascinating and we listened to a station playing 1950's classic rock'n roll! The afternoon was sunny and we began with a haul across the George Washington Bridge and through the endless project dwellings in the Bronx and Queens, and then into vast open woodland spaces. We crossed the state border into Connecticut and drove passed 'Yale'. Ploughing through heavy Friday afternoon traffic, some bound for Cape Cod', we eventually entered Massachusetts and the outskirts of Boston. We're staying at they Hilton and its great......the open-air "Legacy Mall" within ten-minutes walking which has fabulous food, shopping, and real ale! We ate at "It isn't Legal' tonight, a famous fish restaurant with a great atmosphere. We also wandered through the Wholefood supermarket where they had some 'West Coast' real ale on sale "Arrogant Bastard Ale".....I'm thinking of shipping some home for certain individuals!! Good luck to the 'Reds'!.....and after today, there is only one piece of music in my head, which has no connection with Boston...only my journey there!
