Yes, Philly has a great feel to it, a really vibrant city. We stumbled across a really traditional diner for breakfast and ordered eggs, fried potato, toast and coffee....for under $4.00!! Then it was off to the historic district to see the Liberty Bell and the building in which the signing of the Declaration of Independence took place.
Our thirst for culture sated, we struck out for the Reading Terminal Market, which had been suggested to us by a close friend of ours (and native New Yorker). What can I say.......its a must if you come here! We located Dinic's and ordered a traditional roast pork sandwich and then fought to get a seat.......well worth the queue!!
This afternoon we strolled down to the waterfront, took in a film and then caught a cab back to the hotel. After dinner we took a stroll around the neighbourhood shops and believe me their number and variety have to be seen to be believed! As its now been several days since I last posted a musical link, I figured now was as good a time as any for my next one.......a favourite of mine, by 'the Boss'....
